We have carpet in our house versus a tile or laminate in most of the rooms. When we moved in, we made that choice because our kids were so young...the thought of them trying to walk on a slippery floor and a hard surface was too much for us to bear. We figured with carpet, they'd have a softer landing.
But the kids are getting older now and it's time to think about other types of flooring. I like laminate and it's a hell of a lot cheaper than real hardwood. But if the price was right, I'd do the real hardwood. I'm thinking if I had to do the work, I'd really like the quick step flooring. Nice and easy.
Now, let's just see if coming up with the money is as nice and easy.
